Jack Chains were an important part of the protective equipment for foot soldiers because they did not normally wear armor.

This arm protection has separate Vambrace, Cowter and Rerebrace sections. The elbow protection is in 14 ga. steel and the upper and forearm sections are made of 16 gauge steel.
