These caps are normally worn under a helmet or chain mail coif for comfortand offered extra cushioning for the head. The padded coif is like a padded version of the biggins cap, it's the perfect addition to any re-enactor or medievalists garb. Although the original cloth caps were widely stuffed with rags and straw, our cap has a heavy cotton canvas shell, lined with cotton and thickly lined with foamwith fiber fill. Quilted construction with a tie cord.
Choose from three sizes: S, M and L.
