Catalog Description: During the crusades, life could be very dangerous. To cope with this danger, armor and weapons evolved. From the end of the 11th century all the way to the end of the 13th century, the crusades were the center of attention in Europe. This was before the advent of the visor, so knights would typically wear one larger helmet over a bascinet (or open faced helmet). Then, if battle got too hot, they could take off the larger helmet. This is a representation of one of those larger helmets. A great helm or barrel helmet, as they are called, would protect the wearer from many different weapons. You are sure to be safe in our excellently reproduced Crusader Helmet as well.

Standard - Head Circumference: up to 25"
Large - Head Circumference: up to 26"
