This style of maille is reasonably authentic to the early medieval period. In steel this construction style has the advantage of strength, allowing it to be used for supervised weapons-contact re-enactment. The domed-head riveted style is more economical than wedge-riveted maille. Construction is in the 4 in 1 pattern. Full specifications and available finishes are shown against each specific item. The maille is supplied burnished to give a dark grey to black finish. |
