Royal Corinthian Helm W/Plume

This Royal Corinthian style helmet of the 6th century B.C. is provided with crest cheekpieces and noseguard. The description"Royal"in this case denotes the rich decoration of this particular model. Made entirely in black-varnished hand-wrought iron on which are applied some golden-plated metal figures: two dragons on the sides and a lion's head on the forehead. The black leather crest is hand-sewn with beige-colored horsehair.
