Taking on a muscular and indestructible look in this two piece body armor made of 16 gauge polished carbon steel with leather straps. This armor weights a hefty 9 lb but is slight less than what troops wore in the time of Caesar. This armor is easy on the eyes . the characteristic which lead to its common depiction on gladiators and common soldiers in Hollywood movies. However . this stylish piece was most likely worn during aristocratic and ceremonial proceedings. In battle . warriors preferred more mobile and lighter banded armor available at the time.
