Description

From 1611-1632 . King Gustav II Adolf (1594-1632) ruled Sweden. In the last years of his rule . the monarch entered the Thirty Years' War in 1630 as a defensive measure to ensure the Swedish state and church from danger. This proved to be a smart military decision as Gustav's army was highly skilled and his postion improved from alliances with France Brandenburg and Saxony. In 1632 at Ltzen . while the Swedish forces defeated Albrecht W.E. von Wallenstein's amry . King Gustav was fatally wounded in the battle. Our Gustav Rapier (SH2206) and main gauche (SH2209) have been reproduced according to the design of the originals and are of royal quality. An impressive design has been used for the guard of the rapier and features two shells for hand protection. Forged high-carbon spring steel blades and leather scabbards further equip the rapier and main gauche. This rapier and the accompanying main gauche blade made by CAS/Hanwei are now interchangeable with the "Practical baldes (OH2255 OH2256) designed for increased safety in rapier sparring. Also available is the Gustav Rapier in an antiqued version (SH2206N) and matching antiqued main gauche (SH2209N).

Customer Testimonials

I ordered a Zatoichi Samurai Sword and when it arrived i noticed the box had been damaged. After opening it, I found out that the sword had a 'ding' in it and was slightly bent. I called Swords of Honor and they immediately issued a call tag for UPS to come pick it up and sent me a new one (which arrived perfectly).
