The Elvin recurve bow is a staple in the Elvin armory. Their range accuracy and strength are well-known. The recurve style bow is the perfect woodland and equestrian bow. It's reduced length makes these bows more easy to maneuver in denser brush and on horseback but the recurved shape increases the strength of the bow so there is no loss of power. These bows are standard issue for Elvin scouts and other skirmishing troops and are used to devastating effect by Elvin light cavalry.

In the tradition of the"Wild Hunt"these horsebows have been decorated to enhance their beauty and also to match the black paint donned by Elvin warriors associated with this tradition. Each bow has been stained Ebony and hand-painted with Elvin scrollwork in silver.

This bow has been carved from a single piece of American hickory and expertly tillered. It comes permanently finished and ready to shoot. This bow is 55 1/2"inches tall when strung and pulls approximately 25 to 30 pounds at 28 inches. It comes without an arrow shelf so it can be shot left- or right-handed and shot off the hand which is traditional in Elvin archery.
