Deerskin is extremely strong, but still soft and flexible. Unlike cowhide, deerskin will stretch width-wise and very little stretch length-wise. This means that you can flex the gloves and it will expand, but it won't stretch or become floppy afterwards. Deerskin's fibers give it an extremely high strength and abrasion resistance so your gauntlets will last a long time with proper care.
