Ren Blouse -- This is THE all-purpose renaissance blouse. The generous sleeves stand-up collar and ties at wrist and collar make this blouse both simple and elegant. The pleated ruffles on the collar and cuff add unique detail that looks great with most bodices and vests. The excellent quality of the blouse is good enough for wealthy merchants but the simplicity of the blouse makes it versatile enough to use for personas from peasant to noble lady. These are great to use instead of a chemsie under a bodice overdress with a skirt or petticoat. Our Ren Blouses are made from a breezy open-weave cotton that looks very much like linen. These garments are all pre-shrunk and are colorfast. The cotton is much less wrinkle-prone than actual linen and is very soft against the skin.
