Golden Oriole Katana

The Golden Oriole Daisho (SH1018 SH1019) has long been a favorite of admirers of the Japanese sword for its classically simple lines. The incredibly tsuba tells the story of a mantis cunningly following a cricket while unknowingly being stalked by the Golden Oriole. The deeply varnished blue of the saya is again seen in the Japanese cotton tsuka-ito. The Oriole reappears on the kashira. This product is of fantastic Hanwei quality. The 14" tsuka of the katana provides excellent balance. Thus . the sword moves quickly and with great ease. Included in your purchase is a protective cloth bag and traditional maintenance kit.
