** DISCONTINUED ** In 17th century Europe Rapier swordplay was an important part of a gentleman's education and often used as a method to settle disagreements between gentleman. Our Swept Hilt Rapies finds its origins in this time period. The blades for this sword were once forged in Toledo and Solingen and later hilted by regional smiths. As a result . many hilt styles were used. Our SH1092 features a high-carbon steel blade and handsome solid steel (not plated) basket with an authentic bone grip. Included is a firm leather-covered scabbard. Choose between either of our rapier belts (Models SH1039 or OK-H60) . both are suited for this model.
