This excellently made Hanwei sword crafts a partnership between of the most popular Chinese classic novels with an elegantly crafted and superbly decorated Tachi. Shui Hu Chuan (Water Margin Chronicles) . translated by Pearl S. Buck as "All Men are Brothers" . is a gripping tale about a band of outlaws who . in Robin Hood fashion . fight to overthrow a corrupt government in the name of the Emperor. This Tachi retells this story in its beautifully crafted bas-relief panels on each side of the tsuka ans saya. The panels are held in place by retainers decorated in a chrysanthemum motif. The blade is impressive . forged and folded in Swedish power steel. The hamon features elements of both notare and gunome . and is another exquisite piece adding to the overall look of this sword.
