The Katana of the Wind and Thunder is designed with martial artists working in heavy target cutting in mind. The blade is thicker and heavier with classic furniture and fittings. Black iron is used for the Raiden tsuba. A Tomoe motif is featured on the fuchi and kashira. The tsuka is wrapped in genuine same (ray skin) and the tsuka-ito is made of high quality Japanese black cotton. The saya has been finished in a traditional black varnish with a black cotton sageo. The Katana is especially suitable for batto-jutsu practitioners.
