Great Wave Tanto

The frequently used Tomoe motif used for family crests and shine decorations appears here in the Great Wave Katana. The koshirae are made of blackened iron and make use of the Tomoe mon. For the highest quality product . the blade of this sword is hand-forged from T10 high-carbon steel using a long (o) kissaki and is differentially hardened resulting in a distinctive hamon. The saya is deeply varnished in black. The rayskin of the tsuka features a high quality woven Japanese black cotton wrap with a coordinating sageo.Ribbed buffalo horn is used for the tanto's tsuka while the saya is deeply varnished in black.
