The Elvin longbow is a staple in the Elvin armory. Their range, accuracy, and strength are well known. The longbow is the perfect battlefield complement to the legendary restraint of the Elves; many an impetuous enemy has been cut down by waves of arrows while attempting to take Elvin positions.

In the tradition of the woodland clans these longbows have been decorated to blend into the forest and also to match seasonal garb donned by the good folk of the woods. Each bow has been stained with a two-tone process that is darker at the tips and the middle; this helps to both make the artwork stand out and to help break up any harsh lines that may make one more noticeable in the woods. The hand-painted artwork is a delicate scrollwork of leaves and vines.

This longbow has been carved from a single piece of American hickory and expertly tillered. It comes permanently finished and ready to shoot. This longbow is 69 1/2 inches tall when strung and pulls approximately 25 to 30 pounds at 28 inches. It comes without an arrow shelf so it can be shot left- or right-handed and shot off the hand, which is traditional in Elvin archery.
